Buttevant Red Bull Steeple Cross

Author: Sunday, June 20th saw large crowds descend on Buttevant. It wasn’t for The Cahirmee horse fair – the crowds were here to see riders on two wheels rather than four legs. The Red Bull Steeple Cross took place against the scenic backdrop of Buttevant castle, and the weather was glorious. It is estimated that about 3000 visited the spectacle.

The site of the world’s first ever steeplechase will see a new take on the sport on June 20th. This time the riders will be on motorbikes instead of horses, as Buttevant plays host to the 2010 Red Bull Steeple-Cross.
