Pushing The Limits For Liam
A mother of three children originally from Mallow is embarking next month (July) on a gruelling triathlon – to help raise money for her nephew with cancer.

North Cork Aspergers Support Group Fundraising Night
“North Cork Aspergers Support Group” are holding a Fundraising Night on Friday 20th May @ 8.30pm in The Lodge Bar Mallow.All funds raised will be used to provide vital social skills opprtunities for children with Aspergers Syndrome which is a form of Autism. These children have difficulties with social interaction, communication and very often have significant co-ordination problems which impact on all areas of their life.
Our aim as a group is to provide support to the whole family and give them as much help as we can on practical level.
Local “Rat Pack” tribute group will be performing some well known numbers which are guaranteed to get you up dancing and they will be supported by local girlband Roulette – it promises to be a great nights entertainment!
Tickets can be bought at the door and are priced at only €5 – we will also be holding a raffle with some great prizes.
Please show your support and come along to our night out and bring your friends and family! The more the merrier!
Schoolgirls Soccer Roadshow
The Cork Womens and Schoolgirls Soccer League (CWSSL) in conjunction with the Cork Sports Partnership are holding a Girls Soccer Roadshown in St. Marys Secondary School on Saturday 28th May.
It will be divided into two sections with girls up to the age of 14 welcome from 2pm to 4pm and girls over 14 welcome from 4pm to 6pm.
Admission is absolutely free and there will be top coaches in attendence. Many prizes will be given out during the afternoon.
The object of this roadshow is to promote women’s soccer in Mallow and hopefully by next season there will be a team or two from there entering into the Cork Leagues.

Free Job Seekers Day
20 unemployed people in North Cork and the surrounding areas are to benefit from a new free local business initiative. The free half day workshops will take place in Mallow on Wednesday, November 24th. They will be divided into morning and afternoon sessions with a maximum of ten people per session. Table Quiz in aid of Tidy Towns
Mallow Tidy Towns are hosting a table quiz on Friday Oct 29th at The Arches Bar Mallow at 9pm. Prizes for 1st-2nd and 3rd and raffle on the night. Entry is 40euro for table of 4. Doneraile Park Revitalised
Recent works at Doneraile Park have resulted in a substantial increase in attendances to the facility. The new playground is a big favourite with the kids, but it is the spectacular walks that really give the park it’s appeal. Some of the roads have been repaved, and the additional signage makes navigation easier for new visitors.
