Mallow Juvenile GAA Notes – 02/04/14

Our U8’s got their year underway at the first football monster blitz held at Glantane last Saturday morning. We had a great turn out which allowed us to field two teams. Both teams did very well, and gave fine displays of the skills they have been practicing so hard for the last few weeks at Sunday morning training. A special word of thanks to the parents and supporters for travelling in such great numbers and encouragement they gave to the players during the blitz games. Mallow Juvenile GAA News 19/03/14

Feile Begins  Mallow are holding Feile in Mallow on Saturday 22nd March at 11am. Feile is an U14 football competition.  As mentioned in previous weekly notes the structure for Feile is slightly different this year.  Regional games will take place around the county this weekend with the winners progressing. We have Midleton ,Blarney & Bride Rovers in our group. Mallow Juvenile GAA News 11/03/14

News U7, U8 & U9 training takes place on Friday evenings in the indoor astroturf with Wayne O’Donnell from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Runners and mouth guards essential.  Parents who wish to get involved in coaching or managing teams are encouraged to come along and have a chat with Wayne.     The U13 team had a great trip to Pairc Ui Rinn on Sunday to support the Cork Hurlers and Footballers in their league games. Cork U17 Football Panel  Congratulations to Kevin Doyle who is once again named on the Cork U17 football panel for the year. Kevin is an excellent goalkeeper, time and again he has quite literally put his body on the line to save a goal and win the game.
