Thomas Davis Bi-centenary Celebrations
Mallow Development Partnership Heritage sub-group will in 2014 erect a status to the famous Mallow man Thomas Davis on the occasion of the bi-centenary of his birth in the town in 1814. The status is a bronze copy of Hogan’s famous status of Davis presently located in the Rotunda in the City Hall in Dublin. It s commissioned and in storage awaiting delivery to Mallow.

Local Novelist Makes Her Mark
Local Mallow resident Patricia Barrett has recently joined the published world with her debut novel PINK FREUD, a humorous story about a depressed psychotherapist who’s struggling to heal herself along with the rest of her clients.
The genre of PINK FREUD could be classified as Women’s Fiction/Humour, and although light-hearted in parts, touches on some sensitive issues regarding modern-day anxieties. With the antics of laugh-out-loud Miranda, an amorous dog and a forgetful cat, the book promises to be a cosy read on a rainy afternoon, or the perfect holiday read to slip into your suitcase.
